The following is the foundation of beliefs on which Sun & Shield Christian Academy is based. They are also the key elements of Christianity that will be unapologetically taught in various ways through all grade levels. The substance of these statements is that which will be considered the primary doctrine of SSCA.

• We believe in the verbal inspiration, preservation, and authority of the Scriptures. We believe that the Bible reveals God, the fall of man, the way of salvation, and God’s plan and purpose in the ages. All devotion lessons, chapel messages, and Scripture memorization will be from the King James Version.
• We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe in the Trinity (three personages but one God).
• We believe in the Deity and virgin birth of Jesus Christ.
• We believe that all men are born with a sin nature inherited from Adam and must be reconciled to God.
• We believe that salvation is by grace, and that it will be accompanied by repentance and faith in Christ Jesus’ finished work on the cross. It is not of works, whether those works be baptism, church membership, sacraments, etc.
• We believe in the visible, personal, and pre-millennial return of Jesus Christ.
• We believe in the everlasting, conscious blessedness of the saved and the everlasting, conscious punishment of the lost.
